"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics." Mark Twain (1906)
This is a course for Basic Medical Statistics as designed for my university (UKM, Malaysia) postgraduate program. I adopted it's content to make it suitable to be delivered on this platform (MOOC). The main aim of this course is to equip course participants with adequate knowledge of medical statistics, enough for them to do analysis on their own research data set.
Statistics is a dreary topic and is often abused in the mainstream media. It is hard to make it a fun topic but let us try to enjoy this course. If you want to look at the fun side of statistic, check out How to Lie with Statistics", a book written by Darrell Huff in 1954.
Medical
Every Wednesday morning, in the UKM Faculty of Medicine, we have a Clinico-Pathological Conference for an hour or 90 minutes at the Auditorium, where all lecturers and students congregate to listen to interesting clinical case discussion. Due to Movement Control Order (MCO) since 18th March 2020, it was moved online. This MOOC is the curated content of all these CPCs.
*Kursus ini dikhaskan kepada kumpulan pelajar tertentu sahaja.
