Engineering
This course gives exposure, knowledge, understanding and synthesis of the theory of computer graphics, CAD/CAM/CAE software and hardware, and the requirement for that software. Computer graphics and modeling, which includes 2D and 3D modeling techniques, starting from a wire frame to solid modeling. This course also covers the data exchange between different CAD/CAM/CAE systems (DXF, IGES, STEP), finite element methods, computer aided production planning, rapid prototyping, and computer aided manufacturing. This course also introduces programming for Computer Numerical Control(CNC). This course also gives exposure and understanding to the use of Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) technology for the design, analysis and manufacturing of products using Augmented Reality (AR), Simulation, Cloud computing through system integration and also the digital chain for additive manufacturing.

This Moodle course provides you with information about the Dual Degree
Engineering Programme. This is an academic cooperation program between the
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the German University of
Duisburg-Essen (UDE) via the Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment
(FKAB) at UKM. UKM Engineering students who have completed 3 years in Malaysia
will continue their final year of study at UDE in Germany.
